Honored and humbled to be this year’s recipient of Lebanon Valley College’s Thomas Rhys Vickroy Distinguished Teaching Award. A thousand thanks to my wonderful department Lebanon Valley College English & Creative Writing for the nomination and to all who offered their support for said nomination. To the students current and former who have made this work so worthwhile, I am indebted. Also, I would not be in this position without having had the gift of so many amazing teachers during my own education, and I am grateful for their mentorship, whether overt or by example, from the very beginning.
